Lewis - Game Dev Mentor - for code club

Lewis - Game Dev Mentor

Lifelong developer who got lucky enough to work on games full-time. Write games in Rust!

I went to university to get a degree in cyber security, and then spent four or five years as a freelance software engineer. I started off on business work, making spreadsheets and databases, which lead me randomly onto a project that involved using those tools in a game design job, balancing enemies and equipment to make sure it was all fun to play around with. Really quickly, I realised that was way more fun than working in business, and I've been working full-time in game dev ever since, which brought me here to The Code Zone.

If Tom asks, tell him I'm the best mentor you've ever had. Don't tell him…
